Fashion Photography

Application:

Fashion photography is the kind of phtography that ses lots of colours in the pictures so it makes them mre eye cathching & makes people want to look at them.

Also in there pictures they use lots of different types of textures for example diffrent materials & use a veriaty of colours that suit the rest of the picture.

When I look at fashion Photography i see the women models straight away because women are more into fashion then men are that is why i think that Fashion Photography will apear to women more then it will for men.

Photographers:

- Javier Vallhonrat.

- Ruven Afandor.

- Glen Luchford.

- Steven Meisel.

- Peter Lindbergh.

- Steven Klein.

Context:

There are a veriaty of ways that you can get stayles of fashion photography across the world. But the most common way that people do t is by magazines. One of the most popular magazines is Vougue.

Another way people show there Fashion Photography is on the internet. Because anyone across the world can easily see all of the pictures.

Technique:

For Fashion Photography there are different ways they produce photographs, Most of the time photo's are taken in a studio with Models, the pictures are taken in a studio so they can make the perfect picture (Lighting & setting).

Portraiture

Application:

- A portrait is a picture of somebodys face but it may also some times have there whole body in the picture. A portrait shows you who the person in the picture really is.

- People get portraits of themselfs to show people that they have a sence of power in the photo, the people will always dress up in the photo to show this, when normally they do not dress in that way.

- The artist that takes the photo in a portrait can get the photo that they want of you, and to show the people who see the photo who you really are.

Contexts:

- You will see a portit in every day life because the Queens head is on all money & stamps.

- On the other hand a Portrait is used in every day life still because it is on Passports, ID cards.

Technequies:

- Some people pose when they have the pictures taken, but other just don't pose at all,
people also try to make them selfs look more important and respected for example the French King who was on a horse when he had his portraite taken.

- Some other technequies are where photo's are make in a set studio where the photo is taken exactly how they want it & another way is were there is no set, the photo is just taken when you think it is a good time to take it.

Robbert cappa:

He was a person the only person that Picasso let take a picturte of him.

Photo Journalism

Introduction:

Photo Journalism is basically to take a photo for publication. For example putting it into a newspaper.

In the old days people could not fake images they believe that you had one chance to get the right photo, it could not be one second early or one second late, it had to be taken at the perfect moment and that was called The Decisive Moment which ot its name from Henri Carter-Bresson and that is what made Photo Journalism happen.

Leica was the camera that was used by Robert Capper.

The Argos C3 was the camera that was used by Tony Caccaro.

Tony Vaccaro was the worlds greatest war photographer because he got up close photos because he was an actual solider in the war, Tony Caccaro was known as the worlds first celebraty.
